What to bring on a sailboat? Your guide to a perfect day at sea
You have booked your trip with the Stromboli and the day is approaching. You are looking forward to the sea, but the doubt arises: "What should I bring?". Don't worry, here is the list of essentials to fully enjoy l'Escala and the Empordà.
At sea, the sun reflects off the water and burns more than it seems. Bring good sunscreen (ideally non-oily to avoid staining the boat's teak), sunglasses, and a hat.
2. Proper footwear
To move safely on deck, it is best to go barefoot or wear clean white-soled shoes. Avoid black soles that leave marks and high heels.
3. Swimwear and a light jacket
Even if it's hot, the sea breeze can be cool while sailing or when the sun goes down. Bring a swimsuit and towel, but add a sweatshirt or windbreaker to your backpack.
4. Well-being and sea sickness
If you are not used to sailing, we recommend taking a motion sickness pill (like Biodramina) about 30 minutes before boarding. Better safe than sorry!
5. Food and drinks on board
Sailing makes you hungry! On the Stromboli, we have a fridge to keep your drinks ice-cold. You can bring your own snacks, sandwiches, or lunch boxes.
